The SmartTouch™ accessory (sold here as Hailie^® sensor for use with metered dose inhalers) is intended for single-patient use as an electronic data capture accessory for recording and monitoring actuations of prescribed metered dose inhaler usage. The Hailie^® sensor is compatible only with specific medications and is further intended for use in the home environment as a medication reminder. The accessory may be used in the following applications: in clinical trials (where researchers need to know when a patient has actuated their trial HFA medication); in clinical practice (where specialists, general practitioners, nurses, and educators need to know if a patient has actuated their prescribed HFA medication) and in self-management (where patients need to track their medication use as part of their management plan).

The Hailie^® sensor is not intended to indicate the remaining quantity of medication in a HFA and does not include a dose counting function. The Hailie^® sensor is not FDA cleared for all brands of inhalers. Please refer to the individual product pages for the list of prescribed medications that are currently FDA-cleared and supported by Hailie^® sensors.

Please note that referenced clinical studies may involve findings that exceed the claims currently cleared by FDA for Hailie^® sensors as stated above. The intent is to share relevant information about the potential benefits of incorporating the Hailie^® sensor into a patient's medication regime.
